Our Values
"Dot & Doug was created during my final years studying Fashion Design after discovering the terrifying impact the fast fashion industry has on the world, and people in it. I wanted to create a childrenswear brand that worked against these issues, and was kind to the planet in the process. "

Responsible Manufacturing
Local Manufacturing
Manufacturing in the UK was extremely important to me when setting up Dot & Doug. That's why I decided to create our own studio where we make all our products.
Batch Manufacturing
We sew all our products in small batches throughout the year. This ensures we can control the quality and quantities of our products, reducing fabric waste and unwanted stock.
Responsible Materials
100% Cotton
Most our fabrics are 100% cotton. We made this choice because cotton is biodegradable, and when our products do finally come to the end of their life we know they will decompose.
Deadstock Fabrics
Deadstock fabrics are usually overstock, or cancelled orders from designers and fashion houses, which would end up in landfill. We save those fabrics, and create beautiful sustainable pieces.
Wooden Buttons
We avoid plastic buttons, and opt for a more sustainable option. Our favourite being our sustainable wooden buttons!
Completely plastic free!
Eco Elastic
We were so excited to find a eco friendly elastic option! Our elastic is made from 30% natural rubber, and 70% organic cotton. No synthetic fibres in sight!
Plastic Free Packaging
Natural Cotton Bags
All purchases arrive in one of our natural cotton drawstring bags. Hand screenprinted by us, using eco-friendly inks.
Plastic Free Postal Boxes
We recently moved to recycled card postal boxes. These are great for returns, and fit nicely into your recycling.
Plastic Free Packaging
All our packaging is completely plastic free! From our tissue paper, to our swing tags. We are very proud to say we are completely plastic free!
